CEO of Kutz n Kurlz, Lakisha has infused dynamic creative ambition with unpredicted entrepreneurial spirit. From the everyday chic style to avant garde runway looks. Since the age of 15 Ms. Turner has worked in salons as a highly recommended stylist and has been featured in Black Hair Sophisticates, Salon One, and Passionz magazines. Her longevity as a stylist in her places of work proves her consistency as a professional and success as a creative style agent. After working at Shazzi’s hair salon in Mitcheville, MD for 7 years, Ms. Turner took her business to the next level and became a stylist at Salon Couture in Forestville, MD. In 2005 Lakisha took the Hair Colorist of the year award at the Golden Scissors Hair Show, in 2008 she assisted the Salon Couture team in winning the $10,000 grand prize for Salon Presentation. In 2010 Lakisha brought home 1st and 2nd place for fantasy hair. Being a consistent award recipient has put Lakisha in a bracket where she has worked in New York Fashion Week and is sought out by high profile community personalities and celebrities for consultations and styling services. Lakisha added a new venture to her brand "Event La Vie" which is her event planning business that has taken the event industry by storm. From lavish weddings and baby showers to elegant and professional parties and meetings. Lakisha is available for weddings, birthday parties, baby showers, proms, fashion shows, hair shows, photo shoots, and many other special events.
